   Folklore Tribute to Kate Shelley
This is a special tribute to "The Iowa Heroine" who rinked her own life at age 15, to prevent a major railroad disaster during a severe thunderstorm in the Summer of 1881. This site has photos donated by the Boone County Historical Society.
