Listed in: Role Playing Games > Live Action
Sites and pages featuring Live Action Role Play. These games and events are distinct from roleplaying games such as Dungeons and Dragons. People dress up in period costumes and take on roles of the time. Most commonly, people re-enact the Medieval period, in Europe, but may also re-enact other periods in other parts of the world. The largest organization which does this is the Society for Creative Anachronism, which re-enacts the Middle Ages as they should have been. Another favorite activity is Renaissance Festivals. These are held once a year in various parts of the country, United States, England, and Germany, to name a few. Here, people turn out in their period clothing to mingle, among reconstructed buildings, and buy and sell crafts and food, and generally have a good time.
