Bayou La Batre
1 review(s)
This site was created for those that are researching there families that came from the once thriving town in Alabama (Mobile Co.)
Bayou La Batre's older families are mostly of French and Spanish backgrounds. Being because Bayou La Batre was once owned by the French, having a fort there it was called Bayou De La Battery
(Bayou of the Battery) or Bayou La Batre.

The Ards
This site is dedicated to the Ard family and my extended relatives. My primary research focus is the lineage of Reuben Ard, Sr who was born in Anson, North Carolina in 1769 and settled in Wayne County, Kentucky around 1800 with his brothers James McHenry, Jacob and John Ard, before moving on to Missouri just before 1830. Also included is information on the Roberts family.
